Boston Landmark Contestants Announced!

Congratulations to the following educators for being selected as contestants in the first-ever Boston LEGO Education Landmark School Competition! The competition is one of the activities featured during the Boston LEGO KidsFest planned for September 25 & 26.

To qualify, each educator had to submit an essay about their landmark build, explaining why they selected the landmark for the competition and its importance to their students and community. Now these educators, along with their students, must create using LEGO bricks their submitted landmarks and display them at the Boston LEGO Kids Fest event. Judging will be by popular vote and prizes will be presented for first, second, and third place!

The selected contestants and the builds they will be creating with their students are as follows:

Carolyn Mills, Chelsea Public Schools: The Chelsea City Hall
Dotty Corbiere, Meadowbrook School: The North Bridge
Rita DiStefano-French, Lancaster 4H: The National Landmark
Danielle Collins, Academy Avenue Primary School: The Great Pond
Dotty Corbiere, Meadowbrook School: The LEGO Trail (consisting of The Boston Common Sign, The Old Granary Burial Ground, The Bunker Hill Monument, The USS Constitution, Faneuil Hall, Fenway Park, The CITGO Sign, and the Duck Boats)
Teresa Bien-Aime, Pine Hill School: Sherborn's meetinghouse
